Inaugural session of FDP at NU Kohima Campus

Nagaland University (NU), Kohima Campus on Tuesday conducted the inaugural session of a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) focused on online and blended learning course design, development, and delivery. The FDP aimed to address challenges and opportunities in modern education and brought together educators, scholars, and administrators from various academic backgrounds.


Pro-vice-chancellor NU, Prof. G.T. Thong and vice-chancellor, Prof. Jagadish Patnaik, also spoke during the sessions, emphasizing on the significance of the programme. Programme director, Prof. K. Srinivas gave an overview of the FDP, which aimed to equip educators with practical guidance on creating effective online and blended courses.

The session fostered collaboration and set the stage for a more technology-driven approach to education. Dean of the School of Humanities and Education, Prof. Jano S Liegise, delivered welcome address. The event, sponsored by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, will continue from November 7 to 11, organized by the Department of Teacher Education.
