Tehok FC and St Xavier’s College Jalukie emerged as the remaining two teams to enter the semifinal match of the ongoing late Capt N Kengurüse Memorial Football Tournament 2023 played at IG Stadium here on Tuesday.
In the third quarter final match, Tehok FC blanked Holy Angels Sports Team 3-0 and headed to the semifinal.
Tehok’s Lohe scored the first goal for the team in the 8th minute which was later doubled by Nisede in the 35th minute.
Manton with his goal in the 80th minute sealed the deal even as Holy Angels had to bow out of the game with no goals. In the fourth quarter final match, St Xavier’s College Jalukie bested Beckon FC 4-2.
St Xavier’s Poulinlung scored the first goal in the 8th minute of the game while his teammate Ipeuwangbe scored two goals in the 29th and 73rd minutes of the game. Irabeubo added the fourth goal in the 59th minute. The two goals for Beckon FC were scored by Kozo in the 7th and 44th minutes.
The first semifinal match will be played between Liangmai FC and Western Sumi Sports Association at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. The second semifinal match will be played between Tehok FC and St Xavier’s College Jalukie at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
