A practical meeting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for entrepreneurs was organised by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) IPR Chair at NLUJA with YouthNet, North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), Advancing North East under the aegis North Eastern Council on November 8 at YouthNet Incubation Centre, YouthNet Dimapur Office.
A press release by YouthNet stated that the event was aimed to empower startups and innovators of the region by providing expert advice and guidance cum filling of IPR.
The expert advice was shared by DPIIT IPR chair, professor Dr. Pankaj Kumar while consultants from Advancing North East, operating under the auspices of the North Eastern Council MDoNER, along with a representative from NEDFi, also provided invaluable insights into the opportunities available for business development for entrepreneurs.
YouthNet director, Nune Chase emphasized the critical importance of IPR protection for budding entrepreneurs, highlighting how it can serve as a foundation for long-term success.
Earlier in a separate event, first tour operator and tour guide training in Chümoukedima district was launched on November 7 at YouthNet Dimapur Centre by joint director and head of office, MSME development & facilitation office, ministry of MSME, government of India, Tali Longchar.
YouthNet stated that the training, a comprehensive six-week program, was part of the Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Program (ESDP), initiated by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). In his address, Longchar emphasized the importance of the ESDP training initiatives under MSME, which are specifically designed to foster entrepreneurship and enhance skill development in the dynamic and diverse landscape of the MSME sector.
