ZSUD inducts new office bearers

Zeliang Student’s Union Dimapur (ZSUD) inducted its new team of office bearers for the tenure, 2023-2025, with Asap Zeliang as president, at an induction ceremony held at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur on Friday.


Delivering a short speech, the newly inducted president, Asap Zeliang thanked the search committee for reposing faith in him and on the new team. He also expressed his commitment to work for the student community and called upon the new team to work cohesively towards uplifting the community.


On the occasion, short speeches were also delivered by Zeliang People Organization Dimapur (ZPOD) advisor, Heling Zeliang; Zeliang Women Organization Dimapur (ZWOD president, Zaisi Ramlia; Zeliang Youth Organization Dimapur (ZYOD), acting president, Rampau Haining, and ZSUD outgoing president, Thinzan.


The speakers encouraged the youth on the importance of working together for the progress of the younger generation and the society, reminding them to explore opportunities beyond academics while noting that the students were the backbone of the community.


Other members of ZSUD included vice president, Kewitingwang Newmai; general secretary Sithu Nrak; secretary finance -cum- treasure Adigwang Haining; secretary education and statistical, Kaichunlungbo Newmai; secretary social and cultural, Ngaulubui Namdau and secretary information and publicity, Haidobabe Hingleu. The programme was chaired by ZSUD general secretary, Idizeung Reunim, invocation by associate pastor Kewiphunglin Nchang.
