Three-day workshop on “Homiletic Lab: Skill Development in Preaching” organized by Clark Theological College, Aolijen from January 19 to 21 concluded successfully.
Eight intensive sessions were conducted during the workshop on various topics, “Homiletics: an overview”, “Importance of Homiletics”, “Major Types of Sermons”, “Elements of Sermon”, “Plots and Moves in Sermon”, “Text to Sermon-Homiletic Lab”, “Sermon Analysis” and “Practical Session of Preparation”.
Altogether 73 BD final year students participated in this important workshop. Resource persons were Prof. Alfred Stephen and C. Bendangonen Jamir.
The three-day workshop was organized by Clark Communication and Cultural Research Centre (CCCRC) in collaboration with Werner College of Preaching (WCP).
Meanwhile, Clark Journal of Theology Volume VI, Issue No 2 (ISSN 2455 – 5789) was officially dedicated and released by the principal of the college, Rev. Dr. Marnungsang in a function held at Multi-Purpose Hall, Clark Theological College (CTC), Aolijen on Sunday.
A press note by Clark Communication and Cultural Research Centre, director Dr. L. Imsutoshi Jamir stated that the principal informed that the Clark Journal of Theology continue to address pertinent themes and issues that help particularly theological communities around the world.
He further stated that, the exchange of the Clark Journal of Theology with other standard International academic journals was both enriching Clark students’ community as well as world academic communities, and for which he thanked the editorial committee members for their excellent efforts, commitment and sincere work. While introducing the journal, the editor Dr. L. Imsutoshi Jamir stated that the present issue of the Clark Journal of Theology was published at the backdrop of the college yearly theme, “discerning the signs of the times”. In this regard, it was decided to publish the present issue on the theme, “intertwining of politics, culture and religion”.
Dr. L. Imsutoshi further said that the present theme addressed by different scholars certainly would help readers to consciously address the present problem associated with intertwining of politics, culture and religion in India.
He thanked the principal, faculty members and particularly all the article contributors for their support and scholarly works.
