Chief veterinary officer (CVO), Dimapur, Dr. Temsu Ozukum, has informed that the Department of A.H & Veterinary Services Dimapur would be organising a livestock show (pigs and poultry) on January 26, coinciding with the republic Day celebration, at DDSC Stadium.
The categories of exhibits are: piglets of three months; poultry birds (chicken) of Desi variety (local) and L.I.T varieties (Kuroiler, Vanaraj, Gramapriya, Shitiri etc). Prizes will be awarded to the best exhibits for different categories, CVO added. In this regard, interested farmers have been requested to contact 9436605973, 9436072892 for pigs exhibition and 8974695433, 9436002353 for poultry exhibition. Confirmation of participation should be done latest by 1 p.m. January 24.
Ralan: SDO (Civil) Ralan Thungchanbemo Tungeo has informed all government employees posted at Ralan to attend the Republic Day celebration on January 26 compulsorily. The SDO has informed that strict attendance will be taken on the day. Further, all village chairman and GBs have been directed to attend the Republic Day celebration.
