Livelihood training & financial literacy session in Phek

A 15-day livelihood training and a financial literacy session organised by Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre (NTTC), Phek Police, Ladies Club, Meluri and Tizu Club, and Meluri Students Union was inaugurated on November 15 at Meluri Pochury Hoho by Superintendent of Police (SP) Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur.


Speaking at the programme, Dr. Kaur encouraged the participants to work hard and not indulge in harmful activities like drug and alcohol abuse. She also encouraged school dropouts to get skilled and explore entrepreneurship.


State Bank of India (SBI) Phek Bank manager Meluri, Sekenye spoke on various loan schemes of banks to help farmers, entrepreneurs and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
More than 50 participants including women organisation members and students participated in the programme.
