Wokha DPDB meeting held

Wokha District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting was held on January 9 at DC conference hall Wokha. In the absence of the chairman the meeting was chaired by vice chairman DPDB and DC Wokha Wezope Kenye. 
While welcoming the members, Wezope Kenye said that the beginning of the year will be very trying time for all of us because of the forth coming town council election as there has been differences of opinion coming up for conduct of the election process, however he reminded the officer to gear up and ready. Wzope reminded all the officers to remain in the station until election processes are over.
He further  added that all head of offices should ensure that all employees remain in station and perform their respective assigned duties and cited that no exemption of employee deputed for election duty will be done except on medical ground.  Apprising the board members regarding the conduct of Wokha Town Council Election, Returning Officer & ADC Wokha Hotolu Swu, informed that all preparation work for the election are in full progress. During the meeting distribution of appointment order for the polling personnel was also done. He also informed that training for the polling personnel will be conducted very soon and urged all employees involved to attend the training positively. All head of offices who have not submitted the details of vehicles (type of vehicle, name of driver and registration number) are requested to submit the same at the earliest.
Distribution of specific work to different departments for the forth coming Republic Day celebration was also done. Deputy Commissioner requested all Officers to make sure that all officers and staff remain in station and attend the Republic Day celebration and warned that action will be initiated against those absentees. The meeting also resolved to conduct mass social work on January 21 in view of the Republic Day celebration.
