Nagaland: 75th Raising Day of NCC celebrated in Dimapur

Nagaland Air Squadron National Cadet Corps (NCC), under the aegis of NCC Group HQs Kohima, celebrated 75th Raising Day of the National Cadet Corps on November 26 in Dimapur.


According to PRO defence, the events include flag hoisting at unit premises, blood donation at District Hospital Dimapur and flying of meritorious junior wing cadets at Dimapur Airport.


Group commander NCC Group HQ, Kohima, Brig Dipankar Saha, expressed happiness for the active participation by the cadets at various social service and community development activities in the state of Nagaland.

He also extended his greetings to all the cadets of Nagaland on the 75th Raising Day of NCC and has expressed his desire to see cadets of NCC Gp HQ Kohima spearheading in all social causes of the state leading by example.


Commanding Officer 1 Nagaland Air Sqn NCC, Wing Commander TS Singh, expressed his appreciation for consultant & in-charge Blood Bank at District Hospital Dimapur, Dr. T Temsu, for felicitating the blood donation by the 40 cadets and staff of NCC Group HQ Kohima.


The flag hoisting ceremony at the unit premises of 1 Nagaland Air Squadron NCC was participated by 80 cadets, seven associate NCC officers and nine Air Warriors of the unit.
The CO has re-affirmed that the cadets of the unit will always be in forefront in future also for such social causes like blood donation, cleanliness drives, river cleaning etc.


Six meritorious junior wing cadets of the unit also undertook flying training as part of the event. It may be mentioned that NCC being a youth organization plays an important part in nation building and the organization is always in the forefront for all social causes in the state of Nagaland too.
