Two persons from Nagaland died and one person sustained serious injuries in a road accident at Hollokhowa in Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday when the vehicle they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck.
One person died on the spot, while another died on the way to hospital. The deceased were identified as Rev Elis Humtsoe and Myingthungbeni, pastor and woman secretary of United Baptist Church, Doyang, Wokha respectively. The critically injured person, Opunlumi Kikon, woman president of UBC, Doyang, was referred from Bokajan CHC to Dimapur for treatment.
