Neposo sworn-in as new NPSC member

Neposo Theluo, IAS (Retd) was sworn-in as a new member of Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) in an oath taking-ceremony held at Nagaland Civil Secretariat Conference on November 30. Chief Secretary J. Alam administered the “Oath of Secrecy” and Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha initiated the proceedings. Theluo, a retired Commissioner and Secretary of Rural Development, expressed gratitude to the government on his new appointment.

During an interaction with the media, he emphasized viewing this responsibility as a challenge and pledged to dedicate his best efforts to uphold justice in his new role within the NPSC.


Addressing the concerns of the student community, Theluo assured that he would strive for fairness in the selection process, ensuring that no candidate would be unfairly treated. He acknowledged the need for potential changes in the existing system to guarantee the right individuals are selected for appropriate positions.

Reflecting on the historical backdrop of the NPSC system, Theluo hinted at the possibility of revisiting and refining certain rules and selection procedures in the future. He acknowledged the long-standing presence of the NPSC system and recognized the imperative nature of adapting to evolving circumstances.
