Party tickets were distributed to all 9 intending candidates to the Tizit Town Council on January 6. BJP 41A/C Tizit held the ticket distribution programme at treasurer Honlem’s residence chaired by Z. Ahon. The tickets were dedicated by A. M. Sheipa while mandal president T. Nokleam distributed the party tickets.
Out of the nine, 3 tickets were issued to women candidates under the 33 percent reservation policy. The candidates contesting on BJP tickets are namely P.Noklem, W. Khampei Konyak, Anei Konyak, A. Zankai Konyak, H.Shaknyei Konyak, Angun, A. Khampei, Bosa Konyak and Zeihngam Konyak.
