TVCU reaffirm to boycott civic polls

Tuensang Village Citizen Union (TVCU) has strongly reaffirmed its earlier resolution to boycott the civic poll under Tuensang district.
President TVCU, H. Wongto in a press release maintained that if the government revoke the 33% women reservation and re-institute the taxation bill under Nagaland Municipal Act 2016, Tuensang Village Citizen Union strongly stand in protecting the Art. 371(A). 
Therefore, Tuensang Village Citizen Union stated the intending candidates of Tuensang territory “should understand our Naga right stand.”
Tuensang Village Citizen Union further requested the intending candidates to adhere to the resolution  adopted  by the union  and warned that individuals found violating the resolution  would be asked to “quit” from Tuensang territory.
