Arunachal CM Pema Khandu visits Naga Chef stall at Kisama

Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu on Sunday graced the Naga Chef stall at the Naga Heritage Village Kisama. Alongside minister Jacob Zhimomi, advisor Hekani Jakhalu, and other esteemed dignitaries, he immersed himself in the rich flavours of indigenous Naga cuisines during the visit.

Expressing gratitude, advisor to chief minister of Nagaland, Abu Metha, conveyed appreciation to Naga Chef founders Alezo Kense and Kevitsu Doze. He underscored the collective aspiration for Naga cuisine, music, and culture to serve as global ambassadors, steering away from associations with guns and violence. Metha extended gratitude to chief minister Khandu for his valuable support and presence at the event.

Naga Chef, a trailblazing culinary competition in Nagaland, aspires to elevate awareness and admiration for the distinctive indigenous cuisine of Nagaland. It serves as a platform for Naga chefs to exhibit their culinary expertise and showcase the diverse spectrum of Naga culinary delights to the world.

The competition, intricately designed with multiple rounds, endeavors to safeguard age-old Naga recipes while introducing the world to the soul-enriching wonders of local cuisine.

Contestants will be evaluated based on cooking proficiency, creativity, knowledge of local cuisine, passion for food, ability to perform under pressure, and teamwork. The eagerly anticipated results are slated to be announced on December 9.
