Directorate of Information and Public Relations, as an integral part of the festival for the media fraternity and its related personnel assigned for duties at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama has set up Media Facilitation Centre at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
The Centre will cater to the needs of diverse media professionals for Hornbill related reporting. DIPR will also be also extending resources, information and logistical support to international, national and local journalists, photographers, videographers and other media representatives engaged in event coverage and research.
The primary objective of the Media Facilitation Centre was to enhance communication efficiency between the organizers and the media, fostering an environment conducive to reporting and information exchange. DIPR will also be facilitating the registration process with a dedicated press registration counter, providing press kits and festival related brochures.
Designed for convenience, the centre featured a lounge area for journalists and VIPs, equipped with complimentary state-of-the-art high-speed 5G WiFi, coffee machines and refreshments.
In addition, a well-furnished room with computers and printers have been installed for media personnel, ensuring access to essential tools for comprehensive coverage and substantiated reports.
A notable inclusion of this edition was Akashvani Kohima, participating in the Hornbill Festival with a kiosk showcasing both their antique recording and communication equipment along with the latest gadgets, adding value to the media landscape during the festival.
