Keoshu clarifies on ENPO’s participation in Hornbill

S.Keoshu Yimkhiung, MLA on Monday clarified that the Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO) decision to participate in the Hornbill Festival was to stand in unity with all the Nagas and was not related to ENPO demand for separate state. He affirmed that ENPO decided to stand in unity with all the Nagas, demonstrating their collective solidarity.


Speaking to Nagaland Post at Yimkhiung Morung, he said the significance of taking part in the Hornbill Festival was to showcase their cultural traditions and maintain unity among the Nagas. Keoshu also underscored the importance of resolving differences while upholding unity and preserving the “Naga oneness”. He added that the Hornbill Festival served as the primary platform unifying all Naga tribes, showcasing the collective unity and solidarity to others. Keoshu was also presented with a handmade clay pot by the Yimkhiung cultural troupe.
