TTSU serves ultimatum on contractor

Tobu Town Students’ Union (TTSU) has expressed disappointment over the abandonment of youth hall construction under Tobu sub-division, Mon district and served a 30-day ultimatum on the responsible contractor to restart the construction.
In a press release, TTSU president, H Khamba, and press and information secretary, L Pangting, cautioned that failure to resume works within the stipulated time, the union would take its own course of action and no excuse would be entertained thereafter.
The union claimed that the contractor disappeared without any reason soon after the construction of youth hall began in the year 2011.
The union said the decision to serve ultimatum was taken at its 31st General Session held on December 28, 2016, which was attended by Konyak Union (Branch Tobu), KNSK Tobu Town, TTCSA, other NGOs and student community.
Meanwhile, the TTSU has called upon all the contractors carrying out construction under Tobu town to immediately finish the pending projects with much delay failing the union would be compelled to question them in the office without serving further notice.
