District tour by state headquarters officials of Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG) was undertaken in November.
The meeting was attended by deputy commissioner (DC) & president Kohima District BSG, Rovilatuo Mor, officials from the state headquarter and district headquarters, Scouts & Guides of Christ King Hr. Sec. School Kohima.
Kohima District Organising Commissioner (Scouts) Khriesanyü Pienyü chaired the meeting and State Organising Commissioner (Guide) Vimezhonu Paphino highlighted the upcoming golden jubilee celebration.
DC informed that Kohima being the host district, the Scouts & Guides should come forward in assisting the state headquarters wherever necessary.
He also assured that the Kohima BSG would be coming up with standarized building at the State Training Centre Nerhema before the jubilee celebration in April 2017.
Though a good number of private schools are enrolled within Kohima district; in order to sensitize and create awareness about scouting and guiding movement in government schools, the DC has personally initiated for a meeting of all government school headmasters within Kohima jurisdiction.
Mor also informed that Kohima city has been declared “Smoke Free City” and appealed the Scouts & Guides to actively involve and take active part in every possible way to create awareness and help in keeping Kohima city clean.
