The temperature in most parts of Nagaland dipped below normal on Friday forcing many denizens to stay indoors due to the low temperature. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast for five days, minimum temperature in Tuensang district is predicted to be around 3°C, while most parts of the State is predicted to be below 10°C. In Dimapur as well, the minimum temperature is expected to be 13°C.
Meanwhile, residents of Delhi are bracing for a cold winter season. The mercury in Delhi continued to dip in New Delhi with the minimum temperature on Friday recorded at below 5 degrees for the first time this season at 4.9°C. This is a variation of below 4 degrees from normal for this time of the year.
As winter tightens its grip on the national capital, Delhi, residents can brace for a rapid escalation in cold temperatures post-December 18.
Visibility dropped to less than 500 metres in most parts of north India, the IMD said.
