Oting Baptist Church (OBC), Mon celebrated platinum jubilee on Saturday. Extending greetings on the occasion, minister of Health and Family Welfare P. Paiwang Konyak said celebrating 75 years was a significant milestone for a Church. “As we celebrate 75 years of our church’s unwavering commitment to faith and community, our journey echoes the devotion of those early followers, embracing the teachings of love, compassion, and unity”, said Paiwang.
He paid tribute to the pioneers who with much pain and sacrifices, guided, served and established the church that created a beacon of hope and faith for the community. Paiwang also honoured those who have left a legacy of faith that inspired the people even today.
He further urged the community members to look towards the future with renewed faith and enthusiasm and to be prepared to continue the mission of spreading love and kindness for generations to come. Church leader, Angh’s from different villages, village leaders and civil society leaders of Tizit area attended the celebration.
