One day State mourning for demise of Kuwait’s Emir

The Nagaland government on Sunday observed a one-day mourning following the demise of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the Home ministry had declared one-day state mourning on December 17 throughout India. The National Flag was flown at half-mast throughout India on all buildings where it is flown regularly and no official entertainment carried out on the day.
