Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR), state’s first medical college, organised a seminar on “Viksit Bharat @2047” here on Monday as a part of nationwide initiative “Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth,” recently unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Stressing the importance of striving for excellence, NIMSR director-cum-dean professor Dr. Soumya Chakraborty encouraged the students to aim higher rather than just being an average. She urged them to not confine themselves but to broaden their horizons and reach new heights.
NIMSR assistant professor Dr. Longna Konyak asserted that “Viksit Bharat @2047” embodied a collective dream and vision for everyone. He also stressed the role of youth in shaping India’s future and articulated the initiative’s objective of fostering economic stability in the country.
On the impact of technology on people’s lives, Dr. Konyak encouraged the students to constantly upgrade themselves and contribute to make India a global role model for others to look up to. Meanwhile, first-year MBBS students were divided into three groups, with two students from each group presented their ideas for ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’.
