Sharing the Christmas greetings, former general secretary, NSF, Supongmeren Jamir said Christmas was a time of renewal of one’s vision and priorities.

Jamir said for the past nearly 40 years NSF had been staying at the Naga Club building and therefore the federation should be grateful to them.
“However, we have now come to our own home, NSF is matured enough to be in their own home. From tomorrow, we have to carry out our own responsibilities,” he said.

He added that the new team will have to shoulder the responsibility of setting up a proper home for the federation and see that all its fraternities and children were intact.
While celebrating this advent Christmas, Jamir said the federation should come up with new visions even as the people wait for the birth of “our” Lord Jesus Christ.

“Since we decided to celebrate the occasion, we have to see what Christmas actually means.
Jesus was a good commander, leader, a champion of humankind and eventhough He is the only Son of God, He decided to sacrifice for all of us,” he said.

As we celebrate this advent Christmas, let us look at the quality of our leadership while we wait for that one true leader who was full of responsibilities. He said those serving in NSF, were the guardians of the youngsters and future leaders which was the greatest achievement and most satisfying. He said as leaders, they should know that time was precious and therefore respect their time and learn how to use time judiciously.
