Senior NSCN (I-M) functionary and member collective leadership ‘lieut. gen.’ (Retd) VS Atem has been appointed as the deputy ato kilonser (deputy prime minister) of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) with immediate effect.
In an order, yaruiwo/president of GPRN Q Tuccu said that the appointment has been made on the advice of the ato kilonser and in consultation with the collective leadership.
Atem has been appointed “in view of national necessity and to further strengthen the administrative functioning of the government,” the order said. The oath of allegiance and secrecy would be taken up on January 8, 2024, the order stated.
