Pyangsa Baptist Church (PBC) under Wokha district celebrated quasquicentennial celebration from January 2 to 4, 2024 at Pyangsa village. On January 4, the speaker of the evening service was pastor Yikhum Baptist Church, R. Zanbemo Kithan while the service was led by associate pastor, Longstung Ekhumkho, Zubenthung Ovung. Greetings was delivered by pastor Phenshunyu Church, Rev. Isac Kessen. Consecration service was done by pastor Lotsu Baptist Church, Rev. Zaremo Tsanglao.
In the morning session, the speaker was Home Evangelist, Rev. R.P.Murry and the service was led by pastor Lio-Longchum, Lipenthung Ovung. Words of exhortation was delivered by associate professor, MTC Wokha. Dr. K.Z. Ovung while pastor, Liphi Baptist Church, Orensao Ovung said the offertory prayer of the jubilee.
Earlier, on January 3, the jubilee monolith was dedicated by, executive secretary, Lotha Baptist Church Association, Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha and the theme of the jubilee was opened with a prayer by pastor Lakhuti Baptist Church, Rev. Ezanbemo Odyuo. The speaker in the evening service was senior associate pastor, Dr. Yanbemo Lotha, who delivered his sermon on the topic, “God the provider” Philippines 4:19.
Greetings message on behalf of the advisor of Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan was also read out at the service held on January 3.
