Dimapur police recover bodies

Dimapur police has recovered unidentified dead bodies on January 7 and 9, outside Indian Post office, Dimapur and below fly over bridge near parcel office Railway Station, Dimapur respectively.


A press release by Dimapur police PRO informed that an unidentified dead body of a male aged around 50-55 years was found 40 meters away from East Police Station, outside the wall of Indian Post office, Dimapur, on January 7. The deceased was wearing green jacket, white sweater, black checked sweater, white T-shirt and black pant.


PRO said no injuries were found on the body and the cause of dead was suspected due to illness. According to the witnesses, PRO said the deceased was suspected to be a homeless beggar. On January 9, police on receiving information from Station Manager, NF Railway Dimapur at GRPS, Dimapur recovered an unidentified dead body of a male (non-Naga) aged around 45-50 years. Further, claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased have been requested to contact the OC, East Police Station at 7085055020, and OC, GRPS, Dimapur at 7085055021.
