Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students’ Union (ENSSU) held its 18th general conference at Shothumi-A, under the theme “Navigating societal turbulence, bridging divides for a resilient future.” Media cell of ENSSU informed that the conference was graced by chairman DPDB Kiphire, C. Kipili Sangtam as guest of honour.
Kipili emphasized the importance of unity among diverse tribes and encouraged the student bodies to actively combat drug abuse. He also highlighted economic management as a crucial aspect in students’ lives and encouraged the student to involve in monitoring the proper utilization of resources for rural development.
Earlier, the conference began with a prayer by Hekuto Kinny, pastor of Shothumi-A, and the welcome address was delivered by Head GB, Khehovi Yeptho. The opening ceremony featured a presentation by the Lukhami Village Students’ Union and a welcome song from the host village.
