Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) Urban Van, a nation-wide campaign to disseminate information and generate awareness about Central welfare schemes reached Tizit Sub-division and Pfutsero town on January 9.
A DIPR report informed that Rajya Sabha MP, Phangnon Konyak, who attended the Yatra programme held at Old Jaboka village briefed the gathering about the purpose of her visit. On the same day, Yatra campaign was also held at Jaboka for both Jaboka and Nettong villages. SDO (C), Tizit, Tumben P Tsanglao, who led the Yatra programme at both villages highlighted the aims and objectives of VBSY and informed that the Yatra was a movement to achieve the aim of self-reliant and developed India by 2047 by providing basic amenities and other essential services accessible to all targeted beneficiaries.
Highlights of the Yatra programme included administration of Vikas Bharat pledge, screening of PM Svanidhi IEC video and recorded message of Prime Minister. The programme was also marked by on-the-spot registration and services including, NCD & TB screening, Ayushman/CMHIS by MO, CHC, Tizit, Aadhaar updating/enrolment by Aadhaar Supervisor Tizit and financial literacy camp with special emphasis on PM MUDRA & PM SVANIDHI Scheme by Branch Manager, SBI Tizit.
At Pfutsero, according to PIB, a programme was held at ADC office, where SDO (C) Pfutsero C. Phuniang highlighted that Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was a nationwide campaign aimed to raise awareness through outreach activities and to achieve saturation of schemes of Government of India across the country.
Pointing out that large number of citizens have been benefited from various welfare schemes rolled out by the Centre, he said the objective of VBSY was to further reach out to the vulnerable citizens who were eligible under various schemes but have not availed the benefits.
He further appealed to all potential beneficiaries to open bank accounts and acquire Adhaar cards to get themselves enrolled and avail the benefits. During the programme, Phuniang explained on various schemes such as PM SVANidhi, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat- PMJAY, PM Awas Yojana (Urban), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Urban). He also administered VBSY pledge to the gathering.
