State chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended greetings to the members of the Chang community on the occasion of Poang Lüm festival. In a post on X, Rio prayed that the festival, which heralds the beginning of cultivation process bring blessings for a bountiful harvest, foster unity and friendship. “I wish you all a prosperous year ahead,” he said. Patton, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed heartiest new year and festive greetings and hope that the festival was celebrated in joy and spirit of unity.
