PCO organises ‘Cultural Day’ at Yisisotha Village

Phoyisha Cultural Organization (PCO) organised “Cultural Day” on January 10 at Yisisotha Village, Meluri Phek with superintendent of police Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur and advocate, Chitho Nyusou as special guest and valedictory guest respectively.


According to a DIPR report, Dr. Kaur spoke on significance of cultural values and urged everyone to preserve their rich heritage and culture. She underscored the importance of documenting histories and generational traditions.


The SP Phek also encouraged the youths to follow their dreams and career and desist from indulging in drugs and other intoxicants.
Cultural troops and teams from ten villages namely Phor, New Phor, Wuzu, Molen, Yisi, Shatuza, Weziho, Yisisota, Hutsii and Kiizatii participated in traditional games. The programme began with invocation by Pastor S. Kochu and welcome address by PCO chairman, Kuiyiphu Sharu.
