A three-day Tsüngkamnyu festival of the Yimkhiung celebrated at Yimkhiung Heritage Village Mündün concluded on January 17 with Imtichoba, MLA, as the guest of honour. According to a DIPR report, speaking at the festival, Imtichoba said Tsüngkamnyu was a festival of forgiveness and called upon the gathering to say “no to drugs and yes to Tsüngkamnyu”. The host of the festival advisor, fire & emergency service, home guard & civil defence, S. Kiusumew Yimchunger exhorted the people not to encourage drugs but to live a drug free society.
Short speech was also delivered by SP Shamator, Khruosutho, invocation was said by St. Joseph College Jakhama vice principal, Rev. Fr. Obed Yimkhiung, welcome address was delivered by vice president convenor local committee, Hanji, Tsüngkamnyu Thüshiso by Ashi and Ayin Yimkhiung, and folk song by Leangkonger Village, vote of thanks by Kinan Social and cultural secretary YTC and member secretary local committee. The compere of the programme was YAA president, Keyongkhum.
