Pungro Town Students’ Union (PTSU) has extended support to Yimkhiung Akherü Arihako (YAA) ultimatum on the department of school education to deploy required number of teachers in the government schools across the Yimkhiung jurisdictions within 14 days.
In a press release, PTSU vice president, Lakiumong and executive chairman, Korakthsang have also informed all heads of institutions within Pungro town that admission process for the current academic session has been kept in abeyance with immediate effect until necessary and further intimation was made. It has warned of “befitting actions” against defaulting institutions. While extending support to YAA demand, PTSU expressed hope that the department would ensure a positive response.
