The state cabinet has given the green signal to conduct recruitment of constables to seven departments. The departments include Nagaland Police, Home Guards, Fire & Emergency Services, Prisons, Forest, Civil Defence and Lokayukta. This was informed by deputy chief minister Y Patton on the sidelines of an event held at the Nagaland Police Headquarters here on Monday. He mentioned that the cabinet had given the approval during its meeting on Monday.
He said the recruitment process would be held through Department Recruitment Boards comprising of representatives from the Personnel & Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department. He revealed that since there was no such recruitment for the past few years, there would be a three-year relaxation for the applicants.
