A two-day Information and Communications Technology (ICT) workshop on “capacity building” organised by
Nagaland University (NU) in collaboration with the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi for NU academic and non-academic staff and officers concluded on January 24 at NU Headquarters, Lumami.
A press release by NU stated that the workshop aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of participants in the rapidly evolving field of technology in education. The lead facilitator of the workshop was head of the ICT Project Management Unit and chairperson of the eLearning Cell at NIEPA, Professor K Srinivas.
During the valedictory session, NU vice chancellor, Professor J K Patnaik, emphasized the vital role of capacity building in the education sector. He highlighted the importance of staying abreast of technological advancements to ensure a high standard of education delivery.
The valedictory session witnessed the presence of key dignitaries, including Registrar Dr. Abemo, dean professor V K Vidyarthi, dean professor L Daiho, finance officer N Albert Khizho, COE Yanrenthung Ezung, and various faculty members and non-teaching staffs, who actively participated in the workshop.
NU nodal officer, Kahoshe Sumi said that the workshop covered a wide range of topics, including project management, eLearning strategies, and the application of cutting-edge technologies in the educational domain.
