In a new development, the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) has decided to merge with the NSCN (I-M) as the former had good faith on the NSCN/GPRN and its leadership, this was stated in a press release issued through MIP, NSCN (I-M).
While approaching the NSCN (I-M) for merger, ENNG president Tosham Mossang and general secretary Somai Pongha stated that they sincerely supported the Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015 on the basis of “giving recognition to the sovereign right of Nagalim.”
They expressed their desire to strengthen the Indo-Naga political talks based on the Framework Agreement.
With this merger, MIP said they believe it would motivate the people of Tirap, Changlang and Longding (TCL) in Arunachal Pradesh and allow them to get more involved and active towards the Naga national movement.
MIP said the leaders were particularly concerned over the political situation in the Pangmi region in TCL and wanted to strengthen with the merger with the NSCN (I-M). They expressed their desire to handle Pangmi region issue with a sense of urgency as any negligence would amount to highest failure for the Naga nation.
The ENNG leaders showed deep concern over the issue of Naga integration as the present Nagas were divided by artificial boundaries, MIP stated. They pointed out that integration of all Naga areas and the Nagas, wherever they were, must be given top priority.
What further motivated the ENNG to join hands with the NSCN (I-M) was the non-negotiable Naga flag and yehzabo and they wanted get into duty assigned to them under NSCN (I-M) in Naga areas in TCL, MIP stated.
