Department of Economics, Unity College, Dimapur, undertook a field visit to Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dimapur, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Jharnapani, Medziphema, on February 3. A press release by KVK Dimapur, informed that in the technical session, CTO (Animal Science), Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, shared about prospects of poultry, diary and rabbitry, while CTO (Plant Breeding), Dr. Bendangla Imsong, spoke about crop production. Students were also taken to various demonstration and instructional farm units where components such as integrated farming system models, vermi unit, poultry, diary, rabbitry, crop cafeteria were shown and explained in brief. Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Dr. Phool Kumari, in her welcome address cited the mandates and objectives of KVK and its pivotal role.
