The “79th Chang Khulei Setshang” was held on February 16 at Noksen Village with Imti Chuba Chang, MLA, as special guest. According to a DIPR report, addressing the gathering, Imti Chuba emphasised the importance of unity within the Chang community for progress. He sought the support and cooperation of the public for the three elected MLAs in order to achieve their agendas. He also stressed on the need for a progressive mindset aligned with technological advancements for a brighter future.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, commended the community for fostering peaceful relations with neighbours, contributing to a harmonious environment.
She encouraged new leaders to uphold this ethos and preserve traditional and cultural values, aligning with the district’s cultural identity. Delivering a speech, CWS president, Pongsu underscored the significance of health, education, and development initiatives in the district, soliciting cooperation for their swift realization. At the programme, welcome address was delivered by CKS president Nungsanglemba Chang, while Yali youth presented a special performance.
