NPF legislator Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu on Tuesday criticized the Centre for allegedly trying to divide the Nagas and questioned the lack of progress towards a solution to the Naga political issue despite the conclusion of talks. Azo said this while taking part in the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address.
While emphasizing the urgency for the assembly to engage in a sincere discussion on the Naga Political issue, Azo advocated for a return to the “original stand on sovereignty”, believing that only then would India and the world take the Nagas seriously and a solution would materialize.
Nienu also sought the opinions of member of the house on the Naga issue in the next Assembly session.
