Tsungiki Village Council (TVC) under Wokha district, has banned the use of guns for hunting within its jurisdiction with effect from March 1, 2024 till May 31, 2024.
A press release issued by TVC chairman, Janthungo Kikon informed that any person caught using any type of guns for hunting shall be penalised Rs.5000/- and his/her gun would also be seized and kept under TVC custody till duration of prohibition period. He further informed that all types of Airguns/Air Rifles has been indefinitely banned within Tsungiki Village Council jurisdiction.
