Vehicle requisition drive in Wokha

In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a requisition drive of vehicles commenced on Wednesday at Wokha.
The requisition drive was carried out at three key locations- Forest Junction, Police Point, and NST Wokha. Approximately 60 to 70 vehicles were requisitioned on the first day.
Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Civil, Wokha, and the nodal officer for transport, Nuhuta Tunyi, disclosed that the projected requirement for vehicles in Wokha was estimated at 650 for smooth operations during the elections.
Meanwhile, the department has requested the vehicle unions to provide the names and numbers of vehicles under their jurisdiction. Requisition slips have been issued to those unions.
