A national workshop on “Naga Traditional knowledge education: Implementation of Alternative Curriculum” was organised by the Department of English of Nagaland University (NU) on February 27 at NU Kohima Campus.
A press release by NU stated that the workshop aimed to foster a deeper understanding of Naga culture and heritage through alternative educational approaches.
The university said the workshop was designed to benefit faculty members, scholars, and students by offering a platform to explore various perspectives and diversities within the Naga language.
At the workshop, distinguished academic and founder of SPIC MACAY, and professor at IIT Delhi, Padmashri, Professor Kiran Seth, delivered a thought-provoking special lecture on “Culture and Heritage”.
NU said professor Seth’s insights provided participants with a unique perspective on the significance of preserving and promoting traditional knowledge within the educational framework.
