MSUDGC holds 4th freshers’ meet cum felicitation

Minority Students Union of Dimapur Government College (MSUDGC) held its 4th freshers meet -cum- felicitation programme on February 25 at DGC Auditorium.
A press release by the union stated that executive member, BJP Yuva Morcha, Arvind Damani, chairman of the Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland and president of minority wing NPF Central, Bishnu Bhattacharjee, retired vice principal of DGC, Professor Makhan Chetia, and Dimapur Bengali Students Union, general Secretary, Rajat Ghosh, were the chief guest, special guest, guest of honour and special invitee respectively. In his address, Damani encouraged students to enjoy the transitioning period from high school to college and to befriend those from other communities. Bhattacharjee called upon minority students from different communities to have a better understanding, unite, participate and contribute in state and nation building. Professor Chetia also encouraged the students to work hard, be dedicated and persevere to achieve their goals. At the programme, Susmita Banik and Abhishek Ahmed were declared as Miss and Mr Freshers’. Cultural performances and dances were the highlights of the day.
