SHEW meets DNOs & trains district functionaries

State Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW) “Mission Shakti” under the social welfare department, Nagaland held a consultative meeting with the District Nodal Officers (DNOs) and conducted training for district functionaries under “Mission Shakti” on February 28 -29 at the Conference Hall, SIRD Kohima.


A press release by SHEW Nagaland informed that at the meeting, operational guidelines of various components under “Mission Shakti” were deliberated.
A presentation on Public Finance Management System (PFMS)/ Single Nodal Agency (SNA) was delivered by Assistant Accounts Officer, PFMS State Directorate, Ministry of Finance, Kohima, Vishito Kulnu. The keynote address was delivered by secretary, social welfare, Martha R. Ritse, introduction by additional secretary, social welfare, Bodeno S.Colo, and the closing remark was given by director, social welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi.


Sub Divisional Officer (SDO), District Nodal Officer (DNO) Tuensang, Sentilong Ozukum, and Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), DNO Niuland, Kelengunuo Solo, shared the best practices conducted in their respective districts.
Altogether, 80 state and district functionaries of the One Stop Centre and District Hub for Empowerment of Women attended the training. SHEW informed that “Mission Shakti” is the integrated programme for the Safety, Security and Empowerment of Women under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, government of India.
