DIMAPUR: Educational institutions and other organisations organised various programmes for the students, teaching and non-teaching staff as part of their academic and extracurricular activities. SCTE: A two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDT) on use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools was conducted by the State College of Teacher Education (SCTE), Kohima on March 11-12. SCTE said the initiative was specifically tailored for faculty members and to enhanced the faculty proficiency in utilising ICT tools for effective classroom transactions and providing hands-on training on ICT applications. The resource persons were technical officer, NIELIT Kohima, Moasunep Kichu, and associate professor, SCTE Kohima Dr. Sandip Ratna.

ICFAI: The ICFAI University Nagaland in collaboration with the Young Indians, EduCentre and Startup Nagaland under the department of industries and commerce, conducted “Studentprenuership Program” on March 12. ICFAI said the program focused on imparting knowledge to young individuals interested in enhancing entrepreneurship as a viable career path. The resource persons were Vivito from Nagaland Coffee, Aosanen from Naga Exotics and Vikhruthou from Foster Young Skill Initiatives Private Limited.
NEISSR: To raise awareness on national apprenticeship, North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) in collaboration with the Department of Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship held a career guidance session on March 12.
LFIC: The department of commerce, Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC) organised its intercollegiate event, “Finthusia: Leveraging Ways for Financial Enthusiasm” on March 9. LFIC said the event aimed to ignite a passion for finance among college students and provide them with valuable insights into the world of finance. The guest speakers were chief executive of Pinnacle Skills, Dr. Yan Murry and his colleague, Sahana Kha, while guest counsellor was Anirban Mukherjee from Emporium training & consultancy Pvt Ltd.
SJU: The Drama Club, department of English of St. Joseph University (SJU) conducted the “Dramatic Monologues They’ll Remember You By” on the theme, “A Celebration of Dramatic Arts’’ on March 12 at the University Auditorium.
MGM: The training and placement cell of MGM College, Dimapur, organised a placement drive on March 11-12, with the primary aim of providing job opportunities for graduating students. MGM College said the event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by connecting students with potential employers.
