DMC plea to deptts

As part of its operation demolition in widening the road to ensure free flow of traffic as well as to make provision for better parking system in the city, the DMC has asked the Power department, Dimapur to remove the electric poles on the roadsides and relocate the H.T. and L.T. poles in some other convenient place as it was causing inconvenience to traffic movement as well as creating problem for expansion of roads.
In a similar notification addressed to the General Manager BSNL, Dimapur, DMC member, in-charge of Regulation of Land use & Building Construction, Thungchanthung Lotha requested the BSNL authority to make necessary arrangement to remove the telephone posts and D.B Boxes from the roadside which were causing inconvenience in traffic movement and also obstructed the ongoing road expansion works.
Meanwhile, the DMC has said that it will meet NGOs like DNSU, Naga Council, Naga Women Hoho etc on August 5 at 11 am at its Conference hall to seek their views and suggestions on the ongoing demolition.
