As per the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban Nagaland calendar of activities, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has informed all the Hindu community residing under its jurisdiction to conduct cleanliness drives before and after the celebration of Holi at their respective venue.
In a press release, Dimapur Municipal Council administrator, W Manpai Phom, said the cleanliness drive directive was to maintain a healthy and clean environment during the celebration. Dimapur Municipal Council has asked the community to ensure that all powders and liquids used are organically based and not chemical products that could cause any bodily harm and to maintain air quality.
Further, Dimapur Municipal Council has requested everyone to unite towards taking care of the environment by keeping the streets clean, stopping polluting the environment and replacing disposable items with reusable items for a cleaner and healthier environment.
