Student bodies flay death threat

Changkikong Students’ Conference (CKM) and Japukong Students’ Conference (JKM) have condemned the reported death threat hurled at chief minister Neiphiu Rio, Home minister Imkong L. Imchen and State DGP K. Changkija by emissary of the ‘GPRN/NSCN (K)’ Kughalu Mulatonu and appealed the NSCN (K) to withdraw the threat.
CKM in a press release reminded that threats, intimidations and killings cannot bring solution to any problem but create more animosity and further divide the society. CKM also said it stood by the “integrity and upright dealings” of DGP Chankija. JKM in a separate release said the threat was “very unfortunate”, especially at a time when Nagas were yearning for peace and unity.
