DDMA Peren provides relief for affected families

In view of widespread rain, hailstones and heavy wind affecting various parts of Peren district on March 26, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Peren extended immediate relief to 10 severely affected villages along with medical aid to the seriously and minor injured persons. There have been no reports of any casualties so far.


DDMA Peren said two assessment teams for preliminary assessment were also immediately dispatched on March 27 to Ahthibung and Tenning sub-divisions, worst affected by the disaster, to assess the extent of damage and submit a report to the government.
