Wokha District Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) organised “trekking cum clean Mt. Tiyi mission” Saturday at Mt. Tiyi, to keep the surroundings clean for a healthy environment.
A press release by Wokha BS&G stated that District Organising Commissioner (S) BS&G Wokha, T. Zuchanthung Lotha, encouraged and motivated scouts and guides to keep doing good deeds for a better world and to set better examples for the younger generation. He appealed to all visitors not to throw waste and litter the mountains.
Lotha said as responsible citizens it was the duty of all to preserve and protect the environment, and called upon the public not keep their surroundings, public places and town clean and litter free.
