Leader of the Congress Legislature Parry (CLP) Chingwang Konyak has demanded that state BJP leader and forest minister M.C.Konyak substantiate allegations that the Congress and its CLP leader had “connived and purchased” Lok Sabha MP, Wangyuh Konyak of the NPF, to vote for the UPA during the July 22 trust vote “within a week’s time” or tender public apology, failing which defamation suit would filed against him. A statement issued by the secretary to the CLP leader said M.C. Konyak’s allegations “had made Wangyuh a victim of the most negative means of horse trading and corruption in Indian politics,” besides dragging the name of the CLP leader Chingwang Konyak “into controversy” through “unfounded allegations”.
